When I was younger I used to ask my mom in tears, “what happens when we die?”. And she’d tell me things like, “that’s just how life is” or other vague non-answers. It would often leave this massive pit in my chest that I never knew how to handle when the thoughts of death came to my mind. Several years later, working in the front lines through that pandemic made these feelings return. Fears of the nothingness that may come after death, fears of losing everything and everyone I love would literally haunt my dreams and I would question, “am I seriously afraid to die?” It’s honestly still been a struggle handling the feeling, but this song weirdly came to me at such a perfect time. I don’t feel alone in feeling this fear and it makes me feel a sense of comfort. I love Movements for this record and thank you for it. To anyone struggling with this feeling, I hope it’s going to be okay and I hope that everything will be just fine.
